PNC Arena (originally Raleigh Entertainment & Sports Arena and formerly RBC Center) is an indoor arena situated in Raleigh, North Carolina. There are 19,722 seats for basketball and 18,680 seats for ice hockey, including 59 suites, 13 lodging boxes and 2,000 club places. The building has three halls and a restaurant with 300 seats.

Club level

Fans in club-level sections at the corners and sides of the PNC Arena will be provided with first-class amenities, including seat maintenance, comfortable seating, and access to the Arena Club restaurant, deck and Ledge Lounge.

Club Ledge

Champions Club

Situated on the second level of the Club behind the network where the Hurricanes defend twice, the Club of Champions is one of the most exclusive premium seat options on the PNC Arena. Views from the second level offer ideal lines of sight, although you may wish for hurricanes to attack twice in the near net.

But the best part is that you are sitting here — these are great amenities, including 4 vouchers for drinks for guests over the age of 21, which can be exchanged for an impressive full-service bar and everything you can eat including a gourmet diner, pasta, salads, North Carolina Barbecue and outdoor grill. To top it off, fans will have softer chairs and access to small tables and seating zones for communication before and after the game, as well as during breaks.

Center Ice Club

Fans sitting in any row of seats of sections 103–105 and 118–120 of the lower level will benefit from participation in the Center Ice Club. In addition to the excellent viewing platform at the ice center, fans will have access to some of the most prestigious zones of the arena, including a club-level hall, an Arena restaurant, a deck and a Ledge Lounge.

On ice

Owners of tickets in the front row of seats at level 100 will receive additional benefits as part of the On Ice premium seat option. If you can escape from the breathtaking views right behind the glass, fans of these rows of On Ice seating will have access to several exclusive zones, including the high-end club room, the Arena restaurant, the Ledge Lounge, and The Deck.

Individual tickets to all events, unless otherwise specified, are available at the PNC Arena ticket office (for informational events only), online at ticketmaster.com or paid by phone through Ticketmaster.

Tickets will NOT be sold at the box office of the PNC Arena Box Office during the first day of sale. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster, the official trading site of the PNC Arena. The remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the office on the next business day.

** NOTE: printed tickets are NOT accepted for events at the PNC Arena. For most events, tickets must be Mobile Entry or traditional solid promotions to enter. Some events can only be mobile. For mobile tickets, please display the barcode on your smartphone, as it will be scanned for entry. Be sure to have a fully charged battery. Copies of barcodes submitted by printouts are not accepted. Any screenshots or barcodes of third — party applications cannot be confirmed as valid PNC Arena until they are presented at the entrance doors.**

Box office

The ticket office is situated on the south side of the PNC Arena, directly opposite the Carter-Finley Stadium. The pre-sale window is also situated inside the PNC Arena in the main hall behind Section 127. Cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover are valid payment methods at the box office. Personal checks are accepted, but only within 10 days prior to the event.

The Pick Up window (for optional tickets) is situated at the box office right at the south entrance.

Accessible places for guests with visual impairment and limited mobility are available throughout the PNC Arena in all price ranges. Specific locations will vary depending on each event. One additional space can be purchased with each available space, and if available, additional rows can be purchased in rows in front of this section.

Ticket Sales Information

To find out when an event occurs on sale (day and time), visit the Event Listing.

For concerts a lottery can be used. 1.5 hours before tickets are on sale, all guests at the PNC Arena ticket office will be assembled to explain the process and get a number. 30 minutes before the tickets go on sale, the number will be chosen randomly and a line will be formed. Any guest arriving after this time will go to the back of the line.

NOTE: Lottery will only be used if it is defined by PNC Arena Management.

Will call tickets

Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster by phone or via the Internet less than 10 days before the event, or tickets left by a third party, are considered tickets at will and are left in the checkout window.

To obtain tickets, you must present a photo ID and a credit card used to purchase tickets.

Tickets for transfers purchased through Ticketmaster by phone or online can be picked up 2 hours before the event and can be picked up in a special reception window.

Tickets or passes left by team players or travel personnel usually arrive at the box office about an hour before the event begins. Unfortunately, box office employees cannot know who should receive tickets for players or tour operators until they are delivered to the box office.

Visitors can also leave tickets in the Pickup window; however, PNC Arena is not responsible for unclaimed tickets.

Tickets will be issued only to the person whose name appears in the envelope.

Ticket mailing process

Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster by phone or via the Internet can be mailed directly to the buyer if there is enough time before the event for the tickets to pass safely through the mail system. As a rule, tickets purchased within 10 days after the event remain in the issuing window. Tickets purchased more than 10 days before the event can be mailed via the standard US mail system with delivery to the billing address of the credit card holder. Please wait at least 7-10 days for delivery.

For tickets not received by mail after the standard delivery time, please contact Ticketmaster or local Ticketmaster phone number for tickets purchased by phone or through Ticketmaster.com.

Tickets for children

Discount tickets for children are sometimes available for various shows. Age limits and discounts vary depending on the event and are determined at the discretion of the tourist act or event. Children’s discounts, as a rule, are not available for sports events and concerts.

In most cases, children aged 24 months and older must have a ticket to visit the PNC arena. Children under the age of 24 months are not required to have a ticket for most events, but they must sit on the lap of an adult who has a ticket.

Credit Card Verification Policy

For security purposes, tickets purchased with a credit card can only be purchased by the actual owner of the credit card. PNC Arena and Ticketmaster use a credit card verification system, which allows you to print tickets and send them only to those whose name, address and telephone number match the data provided by the issuing bank of the credit card.

Refunds

There are no refunds or exchanges for purchased tickets. If an event is canceled or postponed, tickets can be returned at the starting point of the purchase (see above).

Ticket prices range from $ 30 to $ 230 depending on location, and parking in the arena is $ 20. Concessions are expensive, but are on par with other arenas, and the quality of food is good. However, you can make it a more reasonable experience by buying tickets on the secondary market at a much lower price and parking at the state fair for free across the street.

Parking and Traffic Tips

1. Parking is open early. Parking PNC Arena open 3 hours before the hockey games and 2.5 hours before the NC State basketball tournament and most other events.

2. Arrive early. To avoid traffic jams and delays, we recommend arriving 1 hour before the event.
3. Enjoy a delicious meal at the Arena Club Restaurant.
4. Road Radio. Listen to 1630AM PNC Arena Traffic Radio for all traffic alerts and traffic changes.
5. Parking passes. Please display any parking details (VIP, PREMIER, etc.) for easy recognition. Punch parking tickets can be purchased at the PNC Arena box office for most concerts and events (with the exception of Carolina Hurricanes hockey games, NCSU basketball tournament and several speeches). For pricing and availability, visit the individual event pages or call the cashier.
6. Can’t come early? Asphalt parking around the PNC Arena is filling up quickly. If you arrive less, than 30 minutes prior to the event, please plan on parking uncoated.

9. Passenger landing and meeting. Boarding and disembarking of passengers are allowed at the VIP parking.
10. Tailgating is allowed only one parking space — see the meeting place in the manual butt for proper installation and rules. Please dispose of charcoal properly and do not leave open fire unattended. Please think about your fellow guests during the passage of the rear doors, be safe and dispose of all trash, bottles and jars. Broken glass can cause harm to other people walking around the PNC Arena.

Airport

Where to eat?

PNC Arena offers a wide selection of food and drinks, although prices are a bit high. However, there is no shortage of concessions when you make your way through the halls.

Permanent stands offer your common dishes at the stadium: hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, nachos, pretzels, popcorn and peanuts. Bottled Pepsi products are sold at these booths, as well as Aquafina bottled water, coffee, hot chocolate and Gatorade. In addition, throughout the arena, you can find Cinnabon cinnamon rolls and various ice cream options.

Alcoholic beverages are offered in two sizes: 7.50 dollars for small ones and 11 dollars for large ones.

If you are a fan of barbecues, it’s best to try one of the several North Carolina barbecue stands scattered throughout the arena. These stands offer two of my favorites: a barbecue sandwich ($11) and nachos with a barbecue ($10). Connect them with sweet tea or Cheerwine, and you are in business.

Atmosphere

PNC Arena is a standard three-level arena with a lower level, middle club level and upper level. All seats are cushioned and have cup holders. The suites are situated in the upper part of the lower and club levels. Above the central ice is a quadrilateral video camera with a central mount. It is small compared to many new video cards, but it is rumored that the new owner Hurricanes wants to install a new video card next season, which runs from the blue line to the blue line.

Hurricanes have an attractive talisman — Storm, that is, a pig. This refers to the great culture of North Carolina Bar B Que. The Cane also has its own dance team, the Storm Squad, which attracts the crowd and helps them prepare for the games. The arena has flags and graphics with warning of hurricanes. Before each game, a local celebrity (for example, a local college coach) turns on a hurricane siren to get fans pumped up. At various times throughout the game “Rock You Like a Hurricane” by the Scorpions starts. The manual does a great job of incorporating the graphics and actions associated with the hurricane and the storm into the game day.

Neighborhood

PNC Arena is built next to the Carter-Finley Stadium in West Raleigh, near the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. While there is plenty of parking and a great back door, little can be done in a short walk before or after the game. The only restaurant within walking distance — Backyard Bistro, situated across the street. This is a great place to hang out and get food and drinks before the game.

As you are most likely going to the arena, be sure to visit the Angus Barn restaurant, situated about nine miles from the arena, situated near the RDU airport. Angus Barn is a luxury barn-like steakhouse with a wine cellar, lounge and cigar bar.

Zones of activity that need to be considered are the North Carolina State Museum of Art and Art, which is about 1.6 km from the arena, as well as the North Carolina State Capitol building and museums in the center of Raleigh.

The fans

In the mid and late 2000s, when the hurricanes were at the height of two final performances in the Stanley Cup, tickets were hard to find, and the team was known for its loud and dedicated fan base. Nevertheless, the canes missed the playoffs for several years in a row, and attendance decreased, and the atmosphere dulled. The Cane still has loyal followers, but you no longer have crowds of people at the PNC Arena.

In the PNC Arena there were all the matches of the NHL stars, the Stanley Cup and the amateur draft NHL.

Series Hurricanes Homegrown passes for six games of the season 2018-19, and includes the best dishes, beer, t-shirts and music community.

Hurricanes began to return to the ice after a victory and make their own version of “Jumping Lambe” skating down the ice and jumping onto the glass.

Arena has recently added charging stations for phones throughout the hall.

History

The idea of ​​a new basketball arena, which would replace the long-standing home of Wolfpack, the Reynolds Coliseum, first appeared under the vision of then-coach Wolfpack Jim Valvano. AT NCSU Trustees approved plans to build an arena for 23,000 seats. The Centennial Authority was created by the General Assembly of North Carolina as the governing body of the arena, and then funded by government appropriations, local contributions and fundraising at the university. The Centennial Authority reoriented the project to a multi-purpose arena, which led to an agreement on the relocation of the then Hartford whalers, who would become Carolina’s hurricanes. Construction began in the same year and was completed in 1999, its estimated cost was $158 million, which was mainly funded by hotel and restaurant tax. The hurricanes agreed to pay $60 million of the cost, and the state of North Carolina paid $18 million. As part of the deal, the hurricanes assumed operational control over the arena.

Known as the Raleigh Entertainment and Sports Arena (or ESA), it was renamed the RBC Center after a lengthy search for a corporate sponsor. RBC Bank, the American unit of Royal Bank of Canada, has acquired 20-year naming rights for $80 million. It was announced that PNC Financial Services had acquired the US assets of RBC Bank and acquired the rights to assign names to the arena pending regulatory approval. The Centennial Authority, the owner of the arena, has approved changes to the name n or object at the PNC Arena. On a typical hockey day in the arena of the PNC Arena, over 400 people are responsible for security and concessions.

Renovations

A ribbon plaque has been installed that encircles the arena bowl. Arena has updated the audio system. Clair Brothers Systems installed a combination of JBL line arrays to provide improved audio coverage for all events. Video recorders installed a new Daktronics HD board. He replaced the ten-year scoreboard that has been in the arena since its discovery. The board is fully LED and quadrilateral with a full-screen video display, whereas the old board was eight-sided; four of these sides had alternating static matrix displays (very outdated for today’s standards). In addition, the board has an octagonal top with full video capabilities, as well as two rings above and below the main video screens; they look like a ribbed board surrounding an arena.

On the ribbons board was modernized and a second ribbon board was added to the upper level fascia. Static advertising signs inside the lower bowl of the arena were replaced with LED video cards.  On arena ice/court projection system was installed, which was first used in the game Hurricanes against the Boston Bruins.
