The Central Stadium is the largest open-air sports facility in Almaty. Currently, one of the strongest clubs in the country, Almaty Kairat, is taking its rivals here in the framework of the top division matches of the Kazakhstan championship. In addition, on the cross-country tracks that surround the field international and national competitions in athletics are held. UEFA’s highest (fourth) category has been assigned to the Central Stadium, which allows hosting group stage matches and playoffs of the Champions League and Europa League.

Central Stadium in Almaty consists of 4 stands, named after the cardinal points. In total, the stadium has 60 sectors surrounding the football field around the perimeter. There are 6 entrances in the arena — 2 in each of the Western and Eastern stands, one each in the North and South. Such a distribution of entrance groups can easily be justified by the greater capacity of the West and the East (these stands are two-tiered), as well as their more advantageous location in relation to the center of the field — here banally more tickets are bought by football fans.

Actually, when contacting the box office of the stadium to buy tickets for places with the most optimal view of the football field, be guided by sectors No. 33-35, 43-45 of the Eastern Tribune or No. 4-7, 12-15 of the Western Tribune. Take into account that there are lodges on this platform: government, for veterans, for football players, VIP and Premium VIP — of course, getting tickets here is not easy, and they cost much more than the price of tickets for ordinary seats.

It is also worth noting that the stadium has a family sector, a fan sector (16 sectors have been allocated for the army of Kairat fans) and a guest sector (periodically, the Central administration shuffles the guest sectors). If you can’t get tickets to the central places, then still try to get a ticket to the Western stand — this is the only place in the arena in Almaty where you will be protected by a visor from bad weather or the sun.

Stadium tickets

The easiest way to buy tickets to the Central Stadium in Almaty is to contact the ticket office. As a rule, tickets for sale there arrive 3-4 days before the start of the next game on the Kairat FC calendar. The hours of their work are 12:00-20:00. However, many fans prefer not to stand in line and do not hope to get a ticket to a good place at the box office, but they buy everything in advance online. In the case of Kairat, this is beneficial, because the Almaty club has attractive conditions for cooperation with the main ticket operators of Kazakhstan for fans, so football fans can buy tickets online at a significant discount one day before the meeting.

Where to do it? On the websites of three major ticket operators: ticketon.kz, kassir.kz and zakazbiletov.kz. The principle of action on them is identical, the difference is only in a few details and payment methods. One way or another, initially the system will offer you to register (create a personal account where, under a password, you will book tickets for events at the “Central”). Then, having entered the office, enter “Kairat”, “Almaty” or “Central” in the search engine. Next to some simple actions, you will in any case come to the list of events in the main sports arena of the city for which online ticket sales are open.

Click on the event you are interested in and a detailed diagram of the hall will open in front of you. Next, select the sector, place and click “place an order” (pay for the order). In the future, the system will prompt you to enter a full name, a valid phone number in Kazakhstan, an email address, and decide on a payment method. The most popular ones are a bank card of any bank in the country, a Qiwi wallet, and a Qiwi payment system. After completing the procedure to the end and paying for the ticket, print it from your personal account (or from the post office) and take it with you to the match. At the turnstiles there will be employees of the Central, who, using a special device, read the barcode on your ticket. Thus, you will fall under the arches of the Almaty stadium, bypassing the queue.

How to get there?

The Central stadium is located in the Almaly district, one of the central areas of the city with the most developed infrastructure, so it is not surprising that a large number of urban transport routes pass in the immediate vicinity of the arena.

The bus stop closest to the entrance group from the side of the South Grandstand (on Satpaev Street) is called “Central Stadium”. You can get to it by buses of city lines Nos. 18, 95, 121, 401. From here, go to the arena entrance for less than 100 meters.

From the side of the North Stand on Abay Avenue there is a stop with the same name. Since this avenue is one of the longest in Almaty, there are much more options for public transport. So, you can get to the stadium on trolleybuses No. 5, 19, 25 and buses No. 3, 25, 34, 57, 62, 65, 66, 92, 98, 118, 120, 128. The route is also close — 200 meters and 2 minutes on the road.

Closer to the Eastern rostrum at a distance of about 500 meters from the “Central” is the metro station “Baikonur”. To get from it to the stadium, you need to go around the hockey arena of the Olympic Palace of Sports. Also on Abay Avenue at a distance of about 1 km from the main football ground of the city there is another metro station — “Auezov Theater.” To get to the “Central”, you need to move forward along the avenue and, having passed the Kaspi Bank building, turn right.

If you flew to one of the largest cities in Kazakhstan by plane, you can get to the “Central” even without transfers. At the stopping point near the airport, you will need to take bus number 92, drive 29 stops and get off at Abaya Avenue at the Central Stadium stop. But be prepared for the fact that this “trip” in Almaty will take you at least an hour. Of course, the most appropriate way to get to the football arena is to take a taxi.

Infrastructure

Today, the Central Stadium in Almaty is not only the place where FC Kairat holds its home games. This is the center of attraction for the sporting life of the whole city. In addition to sports and cultural events, competitions of all levels and training camps are held here. For these purposes, the stadium has a well-developed infrastructure.

In addition to the main one, recognized as one of the best not only in Kazakhstan, but throughout Central Asia, “Central” has a reserve field, a field for playing futsal with artificial turf. There is also a playpen, in the premises of which futsal, basketball, volleyball and other classes are held. It is especially worth highlighting the boxing room located in the area on the East stand of the stadium. Here, the training sessions of various boxing sports schools have been put on stream, as well as training in other types of martial arts from sports clubs and from private trainers of the city.

On the ground floor of the “Central” VIP-Lounge operates — a place for 60 people, ideal for master classes, tastings, seminars and other events. In a separate room in the area of ​​the South Tribune, there is a press center equipped with everything necessary for holding pre- and post-match conferences with the participation of coaches and players of playing teams.

On the territory adjacent to the stadium there is an interactive fan zone (or hospitality zone). Every football fan who comes to a match in the club’s attributes has the opportunity to visit it for free. For fans, a game zone with Play Station 4 is organized, here you can play billiards, table football, drink beer, and also participate in a photo shoot with one of the players of the main team of FC Kairat.
